Staying Healthy in 2016- Keep it Simple and Balanced

In my work as a macrobiotic chef, instructor, and health counselor, I get questions just about every day about what to do for specific health conditions. Some examples include:

“What diet adjustments should I make if I have or want to prevent colon cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, or another type of cancer?”

“What should I do to prevent heart disease, because I have a family history of high blood pressure and heart attacks?”

“Is it possible to reverse hypoglycemia or diabetes?”

Although I probably would make specific recommendations to each individual based on their unique constitution and particular health challenges, there are some things that I think every person can do on a daily basis to stay healthy or improve their overall health. These recommendations are simple, in most cases don’t cost money (not above and beyond what you’d spend on food anyway), and have been proven to be effective

COVID-19 Precautions:

All in-person classes, lessons, and workshops are postponed until further notice due to shelter-in-place and social distancing orders in effect in Travis County.

To help people adjust to this crisis I am creating a new, affordable subscription service for everyone who is now finding themselves cooking from home more than ever. I hope to offer it for free or pay-what-you-can to people who have lost their jobs in this crisis. We are still working on the details, but hope to have it live in early April.

If you’d like to get a notice when the new subscription service is ready, join my list and I will keep you updated!

I am also continuing to offer online culinary instruction with my online course: Cook Naturally Without A Recipe (see front page or top menu)

We can help each other through these trying times

I want to do something to help everyone who is finding themselves home and cooking more than ever. My husband, daughter and I have been doing regular free live events on Facebook, and I am creating a low-cost subscription to help people stay healthy while we all work to get through these challenging times. One of the most important things to me is community, so more than ever I want to focus on the community side of Cook Love Heal.

Join me in the Cook Love Heal Community

I am working on creating more ways to connect the community through healthy food. I’ll let you know when my Facebook Live events are happening,  and when I have new community events like Q&A’s and virtual dinners and happy hours. And just like before this started, when you join the Cook Love Heal Community I’ll send you my Natural Health Starter Kit for free, along with regular recipes & tips every week.

For those who have the time to delve deeper, you can enroll in my new online course, Cook Naturally Without A Recipe, deepen your kitchen skills and make your time cooking at home more delicious and healthy.

We’re all in this together. Let’s help each other build a better future

Join the Community!

Fill in your details and I'll send you my Natural Health Starter pack as well as occasional recipes, yoga ideas, and tips on how to balance your life.
